Safe Kids

Greater Naugatuck Valley Coalition

Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley was established at Griffin Hospital in April 2004 with the mission to provide education and prevention programs about unintentional injury to youth and their caregivers. While all of the programs are open to the entire community, the main focus remains on reaching out to the low-income and underserved populations including the youth communities. The coalition partners with all local police, fire and EMS personnel, school districts, the Local Prevention Council, after school programs, Headstarts, YMCA, School Readiness Programs, and Youth Service Bureaus to bring programs into their communities.
