Since 1992, Safe Kids Connecticut has been a statewide network of people and organizations who work together to prevent childhood injury. Safe Kids Connecticut
is part of the Injury Prevention Center and a program of
Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Safe Kids
Connecticut and its partners have distributed child safety materials and educational materials to raise awareness regarding this number one threat to children: unintentional injury. We cover a variety of issue including:
|
Car seat and Motor Vehicle Safety |
Bicycle Safety |
Pedestrian Safety |
|
Water Safety |
Poison Safety |
Fall Safety |
|
Playground Safety |
Sports Safety |
Burn Safety |
There is no one safety device or advice that can prevent all types of childhood injury. However, as many as 90% of childhood injuries can be prevented. Safe Kids Connecticut has a multi-faceted program to reduce death and injury.
